T.H.I.N.K., Teens Helping Impoverished
Neglected Kids

Christy Lyles, founder of T.H.I.N.K. (Teens Helping Impoverished Neglected Kids), spent the Saturday before giving back to the community.  She spent that day with children, doing activities with, making bracelets and keep them company, while their parents waited in line for food at the Bread of Life Food Ministry in Lawrenceville.

Instead of being able to play outside with their friends, children go with their parents to wait in line for food.  The food doesn’t get passed out until 1:00 pm, however, these families arrive as early as 6-8 am to get food. Normally, there is nothing for them to do, yet on this day there were smiles and fun.

T.H.I.N.K.  used some of the money it had collected to purchase “Back to School Bags,” which consisted of all necessary items needed to start back to school with.  T.H.I.N.K. gave away over 30+ bags and a lot of clothes for children to wear back to school.

T.H.I.N.K. found the Bread of Life Food Ministries last year and helped out during last holiday season, by donating clothes, toys and personal items to local Gwinnett County Citizens in need.

T.H.I.N.K. knows that there are citizens in Gwinnett County in need all the time and is glad to give a helping hand to this wonderful organization.  Last year the Bread of Life Food Ministries, located at 990 Martin’s Chapel Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30045, gave away over $ 4,000,000 of food in 2007.  Due to the rough times, families are finding hard to come up with the $ 15-20 donation asked to receive a multitude of food; however, the Bread of Life Food Ministry does NOT turn away anyone and will give food to anyone in need.   For more information on this or to donate , go to http://breadoflifefoodministry.org

If you are a teen and want to make a difference or you would like to make a contribution, call Christy at 678-377-7940 or email her at T.H.I.N.K@comcast.net
