Substance addiction and abuse have a death grip on families in the United States, and nowhere is that fact more evident than in Gwinnett County. They are diseases that, by their very nature, grow and metastasize under the cover of shame, denial and secrecy.

Jack C. Patrick age 86 of Snellville, GA, passed away at home Sunday, August 23, 2015. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Stanley Patrick, who was steadfast by his side, daughter, Melanie Patrick of Commerce; son and daughter in law, Stan and Lisa Patrick of Dacula; grandchildren, Amanda and husband Ned Jung of Buford and Scott Patrick of Grayson; brothers, Jimmy, Kenneth and Danny Patrick; sisters, Iona Lynn and Diane Martin; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
