Gwinnett County Public Library has launched a new early education initiative starting September 14th called Kindergarten, Here We Come!

This initiative is designed to help parents and caregivers prepare their young children to not only be ready for school, but to excel from the very start. Each week will feature virtual events like letter camps and live story times as well as a revamped reading and activity program through Beanstack.

Formerly known as 1000 Books Before Kindergarten, the new Kindergarten, Here We Come! program will offer an enhanced experience without changing any of the fundamentals. Parents will be able to earn badges in Beanstack by logging reading minutes, doing activities designed to build early learning skills, and leaving reviews – all while building a record of their child’s accomplishments. Visit gwinnettpl.beanstack.org to register an account. 1000 Books Before Kindergarten accounts will automatically be switched over to the new program without losing any progress.

A new kids resource page is also coming soon on www.gwinnettpl.org featuring quick and easy literacy tips, craft and experiment videos, and much more! New content will be continually added in order to build a world-class early learning experience to serve the GCPL community.
