John Tyler, 10th President of the United States was born in Charles City County, Virginia on March 29, 1790.

CURRENT EVENTS
State School Superintendent Richard Woods selected 64 students from Georgia Public Schools to serve on his 2015 Student Advisory Council and he chose Joshua Garrison from Crews Middle School to be a member of this prestigious committee.

Congratulations to Patti Bramblett, Media Clerk at North Gwinnett High School. Patti was named the first Gwinnett County Schools Media Clerk of the Year. She has worked for Gwinnett schools since 2001 and is now working at her alma mater, North Gwinnett High school.

Congratulations to Head Elementary School student Arica Gholston. Arica won the GCAE/GCPS spelling bee held at Central Gwinnett High School on the last Saturday in January. 

Mary Ellen Smith and Clarissa Rice welcomed members of the Gwinnett Retired Educators Association to the February meeting held at the Hamilton Mill Country Club Restaurant in Dacula.

GRAYSON HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI REUNION
The annual Grayson High Alumni Reunion will be held on Saturday March 21, 2015. Doors will open at 10:30 for visitation before lunch is served. This will be the nineteenth Grayson High School Alumni reunion and the location for the event is Grayson High School on Hope Hollow Road. 

5K RACE KIDNEY FOR DEB  MARCH 2015 
Location of this race is Tribble Mill Park in Gwinnett County. Starting time is 8:45 am. Registration Fee for adults is $35, children (ages 0-13) $25.
