DULUTH- Chances are when Art Vedejs received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering he never thought he’d be using his skills to build a robot, or maybe he did!

After retiring from Bell Labs, Art, whose last name is pronounced VA-DAY, began volunteering with his neighbor Johnnie Rowe at the Hudgens Center for the Arts in Duluth.

Gas Utilities Department Receives Safety Award

The City of Lawrenceville’s Gas Utilities Department received it’s second award of the year from the American Public Gas Association. For the second consecutive year, the department received the “Safety Award” which recognized the team based on the number of employee hours worked and the number of hours lost to accident or injury during the 2015 calendar year.

In partnership with local eateries – Local Republic and McCray’s Tavern– the City will bring the traditional German autumn festival to life on the Historic Downtown Square.

(AKA) from across Cluster V of the Sorority’s South Atlantic Region will converge on the Infinite Energy Center in Duluth to share in “AKA Pearl Perfect and Ivy Strong” by focusing on the sorority’s programmatic thrust, “Launching New Dimensions of Service”.
