On January 16th, 2014 at approximately 930 pm, Snellville Police responded to a Hijacking of Motor Vehicle and Assault call, at 2240 Kings Gate Circle, Snellville (Gwinnett County) Georgia.
Sisters of Tau Pi Omega Chapter and Upsilon Alpha Omega Chapter honored hundreds of veterans and those presently serving the United States during King weekend celebrations. A standing room only crowd gathered at Peace Lutheran Church to thank those on the battlefield for freedom.

Arcado ES celebrates designation as Green Ribbon School
The Green Team, 4th grade environmental stewards at Gwinnett County’s Arcado Elementary , will host a special visit this week. The visit is due to the U.S. Department of Education recently naming Arcado Elementary as a 2014 National Green Ribbon School.
Kids across America are growing, and some are earning, a lot of “green” participating in the National Bonnie Plants Cabbage Program. This year, more than 1.5 million third graders in 48 states have gotten hands-on gardening experience growing colossal cabbages with high hopes to win “best in state” and receive a $1,000 scholarship towards education from Bonnie Plants.

LAWRENCEVILLE — The new year brought with it a new GED® program and test takers at Gwinnett Technical College’s GED® Testing Center were among the first in the state to experience the new 2014 GED® test.
Only a few spots remain! The City of Duluth Police Department is proud to announce the scheduling of a Citizen Police Academy. Citizens are invited to attend this free academy, which has been designed to introduce citizen to the various functions of police work. The department is now accepting applications. The thirty-hour course will begin on January 23 and end on May 24, 2014.
Zorn named 2014 National Counselor
The Gwinnett County school counselor who was instrumental in launching the school district’s Elementary School Peer Leadership Conference, has been named the 2014 ASCA National School Counselor of the Year. A representative from the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) traveled to Mason Elementary in the Peachtree Ridge Cluster on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, to surprise school counselor Robin Zorn with the news.
