Gwinnett Medical Center-Duluth’s Concussion Institute Announces Integration of Telemedicine into Offerings

Institute partners with rural south Georgia school district to offer concussion care and reduce healthcare gap

Gwinnett Medical Center (GMC)-Duluth announced today that its Concussion Institute has partnered with Ware County Schools to provide concussion care for, potentially, 6,000 students and athletes via telemedicine. Through this partnership, GMC-Duluth will be the first hospital in Georgia to offer school-based concussion care through telemedicine, broadening area students’ access to critical, specialty care with the convenience of virtual appointments.

“Most of your support groups are in a church organization, and I have never heard of anything on any website or any ad that doesn’t show them in church, so I’m like ‘You know what?  I’m going to do something different,’” said Barb Brown, who then sipped from an orange to-go cup at Grayson Coffee House.

Muralist Yehimi Cambron is coming to the Norcross Community Market on August 10!

On Saturday, August 10, the City of Norcross and Norcross Public Arts Commission (NPAC) will host famed Atlanta artist and muralist, Yehimi Cambron. Ms. Cambron will be doing “demonstration art” for both children and adults at the Norcross Community Market at Lillian Webb Park, which is a project of the Sustainable Norcross Commission every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the summer months.
