Gwinnett Luxury Real Estate
Whether it was watching Robin Leach or Piers Morgan we all have taken a glimpse into the Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous and dreamed of what life would be if we had that kind of money. Do you know what the most expensive home in the world will cost you? Do you even know where this home is? According to Celebrity Networth published January 2014, it is a $1 billion dollar home in Mumbai, India.
I would think it would be fair to say here in Gwinnett we don’t have anything near the price of these two properties but it is not uncommon to have a 15,000 sq ft home for a great price. In fact, many northerners and home buyers from other countries are realizing how much home they are getting for their money in Atlanta and more so Gwinnett County. On the last day of January a search was done on the First Multiple Listing Service of homes of $1 million and more. Currently 65 homes are actively being marketed for sale in Gwinnett County ranging from $1,049,000 and topping out at $5,950,000. There are 6 homes under contract from $1,050,000 up to $1,599,000 and since January 2013 until this month 40 homes have sold from $1 million and topping out at $2,375,000.
The 15,000 square foot home currently for sale and the highest listing on the market in Gwinnett County is in The River Club. The River Club is located in Suwanee Georgia and the list price on this home is $5,950,000.00. The listing agents highlights that the home is a “Beautiful custom built stone home on rare double lot in Suwanee's desirable River Club gated neighborhood. This home boasts only the finest and most elegant finishes throughout. There are exquisite moldings, grand spaces, and fantastic outdoor living rooms. Luxuries include: cathedral ceilings, gourmet kitchen with huge center island, barrel vaulted master bedroom with adjacent office, lower level entertaining kitchen, custom bar, theater room, outdoor kitchen, pizza oven, 2 story wine room, gym, spa w/ waterfalls,4-car garage, and more! It has been impeccably designed and the pool being added now.” I have personally seen the pictures on the multiple listing services and the home is breath taking beyond belief. Its attention to detail and craftsmanship is far superior than homes in other parts of the country that are 30-35 times the amount.
Duluth, Georgia’s very own Sugarloaf Country Club has its own top listing ranking the 2nd highest listing in Gwinnett County at $5,600,000. This home has a little over 22,000 square feet with eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms and two half baths. The Realtor on this property highlights that “Sugarloaf Manor offers a lifestyle found only at the most exclusive 5-Star resorts. The property encompasses nearly 3 acres and sets across the lake from the clubhouse w/the 18th fairway running along the eastern side of the estate. Custom woodwork throughout created by a true craftsman. Guest house, 6 car garage, resort style pool. Covered terrace with an outdoor fireplace. Perfect home for gala events or just family fun times. Not a cold palace but a warm family home.”
From City-Data “Streets of Buckhead is a new retail, hotel and residential development in the heart of Atlanta's most luxurious district. The primary trade area for the Streets of Buckhead includes over 1.3 million people, and the immediate surrounding area is "the largest concentration of income and buying power to be found in the southern United States,'' according to a study from the University of Georgia.” To think just miles away from the edges of Gwinnett County “the largest concentration of income and buying power to be found in the southern United States” is just mind boggling to most. As this area of Buckhead continues to develop to what is being called the Rodeo Drive of Atlanta these people are going to want more and more luxurious homes and Gwinnett County is their closest choice especially if they want some kind of yard.
Downtown Historic Norcross has long been that hidden jewel for top quality homes at a low price. Homes in Historic Norcross can easily fetch $600,000 for a 4,000 square foot home and that is newer construction. There are some very lavish historic homes as well that are available. What makes this a great community is the easy access to the Buckhead, Brookhaven and the since of community and pride from their citizens. It has been recently announced that just down the road from Historic Norcross will be a 400,000-square-feet of state-of-the-art movie studio. According to reports from Gwinnett Village Community Improvement District this will inject $1 billion dollars to the immediate area. Historic Norcross has already been popular for several movies and as it is understood today there are two being filmed there over the next two months.
So for those of you who think you have to travel around the world to get the best and most expensive homes, you do. But to get those same type of homes without spending all your hard earned income, we have it best right here in Gwinnett County. We have those lake front properties. We have those McMansions and 6 car garages. We also have 20,000 plus square foot homes where you can live on one side and the rest of the family can live on the other side without anyone hearing the others. We have the Fortune 500 right here in Gwinnett County and from what it looks like our future is going to be brighter with Hollywood right here where “Success Lives”. You can thank me for helping you make the decision of buying a $5 million home right here in the county versus a $190 million home somewhere else and treat me to a little Champagne & Caviar.
