Backyards never end
By Mandy Snell Harris

A couple of weeks ago I was watching the news and saw an interview with " free range parents ". What? I've  never heard of this 'title'.  It struck  my interest, so I watched. These parents were letting their 2 children, 10 & 6 walk a mile to a park  by themselves!!

Stress is not fair!
By Mandy Snell Harris

STRESSED.!! Which spelled backwards is DESSERTS! lol. I would prefer the latter of the two, but unfortunately that can't be. I'm pretty sure most all of us have/had some sort of stress in our lives. From work, school, kids, practices, moving, not moving, cooking and mostly, our health.

Have a wonderful 2015!
By Mandy Snell Harris

Brand new year! Yay!! I hope this finds everyone healthy and happy. The holidays can be an emotional time. When were kids it was all about lights, presents and Santa. It still can be for us young at heart. But we seem to find ourselves, as adults, rushing around and hurrying to get EVERYTHING DONE! And really... ‘the reason for the season’ sometimes gets lost.

Enjoy it while you’re there
By Mandy Snell

I am 50 years old, and it still doesn't seem real. Not that I haven't earned every gray hair and/or all the changes that come with age. Because if that is how age is measured, I would be 70 or 75 ! I'm sure most of you probably feel that way too. I find myself remembering back to when my aunt(s) would tell me, "Enjoy being able to do that, cause in a few years it won't be possible!"

Come on Fall! By Mandy Snell Harris

Come on fall!!
By Mandy Snell

COME ON FALL!!  Yes, I like summer, but I love fall! Always have and always will. Summer is good because you can watch your garden grow, jump into the pool and go fishing until the sun goes down. But fall... well there’s crisp apples, boiled peanuts, the changing of the leaves and you can pull out your jeans and sweat shirts.

Hey everyone... Glad you’re here! Since my last article, I had a incident happen.

My precious yellow lab, Sophie, decided to take a long walk. It was July 4th around 1:00, we got her back home on Saturday afternoon. The reason for me telling you this is: 1) I was a mess for 30 + hours, 2) she has never done this before in her 12 years, and 3) Facebook is awesome when it comes to something like this. I had 60 to 70 friends all commenting and giving me encouragement. 20 or so posting her pictures on their page and sharing it and 5 friends actually got in their cars and drove around. WOW! As if I wasn’t crying enough. I want to thank all of you again, you know who you are.
