Snellville- Eastside Heart and Vascular held a community open house in honor of Heart Month at their main office location at 1700 Tree Lane, Suite 190, in Snellville on Wednesday, February 28. The practice, which opened in late October of 2017, also celebrated with an official ribbon cutting by the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce at this event. Attendees were able to tour the office and meet the Eastside Heart and Vascular physician team, which includes Dr. Niraj Sharma, Dr. Marcus Sims, Dr. Michael Lipsitt, Dr. Marc Unterman, and Dr. Demir Baykal.
“We were overjoyed with the community support we received at our Eastside Heart and Vascular open house at our Snellville location,” stated Tom Morris, Market Administrator for Eastside Medical Group. “It was wonderful having our community leaders, first responders, community physicians, hospital leadership, and most of all our patients come out and show their support for this new practice.”

“The new practice has allowed people in Snellville to receive comprehensive care in their own backyard.” Stated Dr. Marcus Sims, a cardiologist at Eastside Heart and Vascular. “The practice will be working closely with the hospital to continually improve cardiac services at Eastside that will directly benefit our patients and the community. The most recent additions have been a new cardiac recovery area, inpatient and outpatient imaging advancements, and a new biplane electrophysiology lab that will open this coming spring.”
“We are overwhelmed by the response to our open house event,” stated Dr. Marc Unterman, a cardiologist at Eastside Heart and Vascular. “It is wonderful to have the support of our community, hospital, and elected officials. This entire project will result in the most up to date procedures, equipment, and great care for our patients. We look forward to establishing Eastside Medical Center as a regional referral center for cardiology.”
