Let’s spend this special day together! Music, food, special guests and more.
Norcross – The City of Norcross will be hosting a patriotic celebration for Memorial Day on May 28th in Thrasher Park beginning at 11:30 a.m. that will include food, music and a special guest speaker, Jim McGarrah.
The May 28th Memorial Day Event is a perfect place to gather with friends and family to recognize the holiday. A collection of special guests will be hosting and entertaining throughout the day. At noon, Janet Johnson, former Mayor Bucky Johnson’s wife, will be leading us in the National Anthem followed by headlining speaker, Jim McGarrah. A performance by the well-seasoned bagpiper, Robbie Rogers from North Georgia Piper, will continue to elevate the celebration as the day continues.
"We are pleased to gather in honor of our fallen men and women who sacrificed their lives to serve our military and serve our country", said City of Norcross Mayor Craig Newton. "We invite all our citizens, families and friends of our city to join us as we honor this day and the lives of our heroes, together."
The Memorial Day Celebration takes place from 11:30am-2:00pm on Monday, May 28th at Thrasher Park.
