A local woman is opening her home to raise awareness of the needs of new mothers and their babies.
Regina Hart, an employee at Snellville City Hall, will host an open house to let others know about Helping Mamas, a Norcross-based organization which collects donations and supplies to help new mothers in need and their babies.
Helping Mamas has served 35,000 children. More than 850,000 baby items have been distributed and volunteers have worked 6,600 hours for the cause.
