ong>Two Full Moon Parties to Illuminate the Shore at LanierWorld in August Lanier Islands Hosts a Duo of Key West-Themed Events on Saturday, August 1 and Saturday, August 29
BUFORD, Ga. – Sunset Cove Beach Café and Club at Georgia’s Lanier Islands has grown famous among travelers and locals alike in recent years for its beach-themed drinks and dishes, lakeside breezes and panoramic views. However, an event for which this waterfront eatery – located inside the award-winning Southern resort’s boardwalk and waterpark entertainment district – is perhaps best known only occurs once a month, on or near the advent of the full moon. August 2015 brings not just one but TWO of these events, including a night that coincides with the Supermoon. Lanier Islands invites its neighbors from all over the Metro Atlanta area to experience at least one Full Moon Party during the coming month – either on Saturday, August 1 or Saturday, August 29.
Inspired by the original Full Moon Parties hosted in Key West, Florida, Sunset Cove pulls out all of the stops on entertainment from 7 to 11 p.m. These lunar-themed events are filled with food and drink specials, glow-in-the-dark gear, rockin’ live entertainment, fire breathers, jugglers, stilt walkers, dancing in the sand, beachside bonfires, supreme people watching and more. Each Full Moon Party ends with a BANG thanks to a spectacular fireworks display over the lake. The featured entertainment on the Sunset Cove Stage at the two August Full Moon Parties includes Darcy & Co. on August 1 and Hudson Road Band on August 29. August 29 also marks the advent of the Supermoon – when the moon appears the largest because it’s at the closest point to Earth in its orbit.
Admission to Full Moon Parties is included for LanierWorld Season Pass and Daily Admission Ticket holders. Long before the sun goes down, Full Moon Partygoers are encouraged to come early to enjoy everything that LanierWorld has to offer, including more than a dozen waterslides and attractions – like the brand NEW CAT4 Tube Slide and Thunderbolt Triple Zipline, both of which debuted early Summer 2015. A cover of just $20* admits those guests who simply wish to attend the party itself. For Full Moon Party attendees who want to extend the fun to an overnight stay, the resort offers a special Full Moon accommodation package that includes access to the party, as well as luxury overnight accommodations, $75 Resort credit, Island Hopper Trolley Passes, breakfast for two at Sidney’s Restaurant & more! Following the two August events, remaining Full Moon Parties for the 2015 Season at LanierWorld include September 26 and October 31 for a Masquerade-themed Halloween night. For more information about Full Moon Parties and other events at Lanier Islands, interested parties are encouraged to visit the Calendar of Events page at www.lanierislands.com.
* This admission price does not include $10 resort gate admission for passenger cars or dock fees for boaters.
