Joseph Seta, a University of Georgia student from Grayson, Ga., studying animal and dairy science, has been selected to receive the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Irvin M. and Marey C. Wofford Scholarship for international travel for the 2016-2017 school year.
Each year the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) at the University of Georgia awards scholarships to outstanding CAES students. Funding for scholarships comes from a diverse assortment of sources and donors. Scholarships allow students in the CAES to take advantage of opportunities they may only have while in college.
The Irvin M. and Marey C. Wofford International Scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in CAES for travel abroad.
Joseph is the son of Marco and Lesli Seta of Grayson.
Founded in 1859, the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences at the University of Georgia is the state’s home for cutting-edge research, student-focused instruction and Extension public service and outreach programs. On three campuses across Georgia - in Athens, Griffin and Tifton - CAES offers courses of study in 22 majors, 17 minors and 30 graduate programs that cover the breadth of agricultural, environmental and food sciences. In each field, students are able to work directly with world-class researchers who are finding answers to tomorrow’s food supply and environmental questions.
