HealthData Management recognizes Beth Grimes
LAWRENCEVILLE, GA. (May 18, 2017) - Gwinnett Medical Center's (GMC) Beth Grimes, director of enterprise data analytics, was selected by HealthData Management as one of the Most Powerful Women in Healthcare IT. The program recognizes contributions in health information technology.
"Health Data Management started this recognition program because of the impressive contributions that women have made to the field of health information technology," said Fred Bazzoli, its editor. "And we believe it's vitally important to do all that we can to encourage women to enter this field. There is a shortage of healthcare IT workers overall, and we feel it's important for us as a media organization to encourage as many women as possible to consider healthcare IT as a profession."
"Beth has delivered solid results for GMC, using information technology and analytics to improve care and boost the organization's efficiency," said Bazzoli. "She was an easy choice for us."
Award winners are recognized for driving technology innovation, overcoming organizational and technology barriers, deploying leading-edge technology, shaping regulation and policy and implementing technology that dramatically increased patient safety and organization efficiency. During the judging process, special attention was given to those candidates who have mentored female staff or peers and elevated the status of women in the profession.
Winners will be recognized at Health Data Management's Most Powerful Women in Healthcare IT event, which will be May 17 in Boston.
