Joe Moss to co-chair "Step-Out" diabetes fundraising event

Joe Moss, President of Embassy National Bank in Lawrenceville, has agreed to serve as Co-Chairman for the “Step Out: Walk To Stop Diabetes” annual fund-raising event being held by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) on Saturday, November 14 at Turner Field.

Joining Moss as co-chair is Orlando Lynch, President and CEO of Atlanta Peach Movers.

“More than one million Georgians have diabetes and the disease is the 10th leading cause of death in our state,” explained Moss.  “These are not just impersonal numbers -- we all know someone with diabetes.”

The “Step Out” event includes a 3.1 mile walk as well as music and other festivities.  Almost 3,000 people are expected to attend and thousands more will participate with their contributions.
