Ladies Workout 20 Years...celebrating women’s fitness for a lifetime

Kelly Farris has had a lifelong obsession with fitness. Over her career, she has seen fad diets and exercise programs come and go, but basic fitness that involves mind and body has never failed her or her clients.
With more than 28 years in the fitness industry, Kelly has kept the best methods for maintaining a fit lifestyle and discarded the majority of fads and trends in order to offer her clients the best options.
Kelly considers her clients more than just business. Celebrating 20 years as the owner of a women-only fitness facility has allowed her to really get to know the women who come through the door. “There are women here who brought their daughters to our child care while they worked out and those same little girls now work out alongside their moms,” says Kelly. “There are members who have been with me since day one.”
With a variety of national certifications in fitness, Kelly enjoys tailoring fitness plans for people of all abilities and levels. “I especially like the small group fitness classes because they are more affordable for clients,” says Kelly. “As a personal trainer, I can monitor a small group and provide what each person needs.” Working one-to-one with a client is very gratifying since Kelly is able to see the progress towards personal fitness goals. “Strength training, senior fitness, pre and post natal fitness are some of the areas in which a personal trainer can make a huge difference to client’s personal health goals.”
Staying fit takes a certain amount of inspiration, and Kelly is no different, except that her inspiration doesn’t come from trends or the looks of other people. “I am very self-motivated to achieve a certain level of fitness for myself,” says Kelly. “That being said, my grandchildren and the women at Ladies Workout inspire me every day.”
Kelly takes her role to provide a safe environment for women to work out very seriously. Free of the “meat market” atmosphere, Kelly likes to refer to Ladies Workout as a retreat and a place to be free of daily stresses for a little while. “We have a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with a well-trained staff,” says Kelly. “This is a no-pressure zone where you can meet your buddies and leave your cares behind.”

From Cardio, kickboxing, Pilates, and SPIN to yoga, RIP, and seniors classes, there is something for all abilities, ages, and levels.
