Workshop helps un- or under-employed find new careers

Out of work? Attend LEAP’s latest workshop beginning Tuesday, September 20th, 2016 7-9pm.

Lawrenceville Employment Assistance Program, LEAP, is part of the national Crossroads Career Network that empowers job seekers to find their best fit in the working world.

What do you do when you lose a job after decades of service? Many people may feel a loss of direction and a major blow to self-esteem, and that can lead to hopelessness.

Do not despair.

LEAP offers seven-week workshops that will help you find the right employment for your skillset, fine tune your resume and interviewing skills, and link you with employers who are searching for someone just like you.

What LEAP workshops offer:

• A 7 step process for seeking and finding a fulfilling job & career, using the most effective and successful methods.

• Career, passion and talent assessment

• Help with resumes

• Help with interviewing skills

•Opportunities to network with employers

• Peer support

This faith-based career transition workshop asks for $30 to cover materials and the career assessment, but scholarships are available for those who cannot afford the fee.

Headhunters? Scholarships are welcome. Sponsor your next employee here.

Workshops are held at the First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville, 395 West Crogan St., Lawrenceville, GA 30046. Also visit: LEAP
