Lilburn Woman's Club (LWC) Education program presented a box of chocolates to Librarian Elisa Kadish

Love of Reading is in the air at the Lilburn Library!

To celebrate February being Library Lovers month, members of the Lilburn Woman's Club (LWC) Education program presented a box of chocolates to Librarian Elisa Kadish at the Lilburn Library on Hillcrest Road.

Members of the LWC provide refreshments and will be supporting the Prime Time reading program every Monday evening for the next 5 weeks. Prime Time Family Reading provides an opportunity for at risk low-literacy families to gather for a light meal and listen to trained storytellers read diverse stories from around the world. Then they lead the families in open discussions about the stories that they've just heard. The ultimate goal is to foster a love of books and to strengthen family bonding among the participants.

•Prime Time is hosted by local libraries once a week for six weeks.
•Families gather for a meal and participate in a book discussion.
•Trained storytellers read diverse stories from around the world.
•University professors lead families in lively discussions based on the texts using humanities themes such as greed, courage, and fairness.
•Programs are often conducted in Spanish and English.
