Heart to heart
By Kimberly A. Goodloe
American Heart Association
Ambassador

I am a wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend, advocate & survivor. A couple of years ago, I received a new heart valve plus a pace maker.

I was born with an abnormal heart valve and developed symptoms at age 42. I notified my doctor, a test was ordered then I received a mechanical valve. Four days later I developed heart blockage. The doctor informed my family that I would need a pace maker to help my heart function. A year later, my third surgery took place: pace maker revision. Despite my daily health challenges, I choose to trust God with my life, share my story of survival, maintain a positive outlook on life & promote heart awareness throughout the community.

27th Annual  Metro Atlanta Heart Walk will take place Saturday, September 20th at Centennial Olympic Park/7:00a.m

FYI: Money raised at the event will help support medical research.
