Some highlights of the profile include:
• Georgia is home to 950,532 small businesses.
• Georgia’s small businesses employ 1,479,081 individuals.
• The three industries with the most small business employment are accommodation & food services, health care & social assistance, and retail trade.
• Small businesses made up 88.8 percent of Georgia’s exporting companies generating 33 percent of the state’s total known export value.
