Acclaimed Farmer’s Market kicks off June 7

SNELLVILLE – Things sure have changed since the city’s Farmer’s Market opened for the first time five years ago.

Then, there were just over 30 vendors. When the market opens its 2014 season June 7, there will be 55.

Six Gwinnett graduates receive 
from their future school

Five universities recently announced that they will award scholarships to a group of Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) graduates from the Class of 2014 who soon will enroll as their own college students. The six students are winners of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation's (NMSC) College-Sponsored National Merit Scholarships. The higher education institutions - Brigham Young University, Northwestern University, the University of Texas at Dallas, the University of South Carolina, and Vanderbilt University - all plan to award a scholarship to a Gwinnett graduate with Vanderbilt University recognizing two students.
