Community leaders complete county’s first citizens academy session

Lawrenceville, Ga. – The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners recently recognized 26 community leaders for completing the County’s inaugural Gwinnett 101: Citizens Academy session that launched in April 2015.

Collins Hill HS student places in gymnastics

Elena Shinohara (Rhythmic Brains, Collins Hill High School, 15 years old) in Suwanee was placed 7th in Junior at the national rhythmic gymnastics competition (USA Gymnastics Championships, Greensboro, NC, June 23-28, http://www.usagymchamps.com), and has become a Junior National Team Member for USA Gymnastics.

SPLOST will fund bridge rehabilitation

(Lawrenceville, Ga., July 7, 2015) – Seven roadway bridges in Gwinnett will be rehabilitated to extend their useful lives under a contract approved Tuesday by the Board of Commissioners.
