During the past three years, Give Hunger the Boot has helped raise more than $30,000 in food and financial donations for the Southeast Gwinnett Food Co-Operative.

Lawrenceville, GA – Following six months of workshops and esteem-building activities, several “little misses” aged 7-10 will take a bow on Saturday, April 25 at Shiloh High School as a part of the 5th biennial Little Miss AKA Pageant sponsored by Upsilon Alpha Omega Chapter (“UAO”) of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, along with its nonprofit affiliate The Gwinnett Pearls of Service Foundation, Inc. ("GPS").

Aviation history comes to Gwinnett County

Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 7th – Sunday, May 10th as EAA Chapter 690 once again brings aviation history to the Gwinnett County Airport. A 1928 Ford Tri-Motor, the world’s first mass produced airliner, will be on hand to take passengers on a nostalgic flight over Gwinnett County.
