As the Baby Boom generation “matures” a large number of Georgia citizens are retiring after a career of service to Georgia state government.  They have continued their tradition of service to others by forming an educational and advocacy organization called the Georgia State Retirees Association (GSRA).

The Upsilon Alpha Omega Chapter ("UAO") of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ("AKA") partnered with the Norcross Department of Parks to make improvements to Kaboom Playground in Norcross on May 16 in support AKA 1908 Playground Mobilization Day.

Men’s Tennis cruises to second consecutive National Championship

The Georgia Gwinnett College men’s tennis team spent the entire regular season as the undisputed No. 1 team in the country, and the Grizzlies will end the season that way too as they beat Embry-Riddle 5-0 to win a second consecutive NAIA National Championship at Mobile Tennis Center on Sunday.

Artist’s reception set for Sunday

SNELLVILLE – The art of two area artists will be celebrated at a reception May 17 in City Hall.

From 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the Community Room of City Hall, Shirley Shepherd and Michael Uhr will show and discuss their work at the event presented by the Snellville Arts Commission.
