Next Star Communications expands services and coverage
By Katie Hart Smith
Next Star Communications, Inc. is a Sprint Preferred Retailer with major emphasis on retail sales, service centers, data applications, and outside sales. Next Star is expanding their services and coverage, having recently added seven more stores, and is looking to grow to a total of twenty-two locations throughout Georgia.
The Sprint network is within just 1% of Verizon’s quality, allowing Sprint customers and businesses so much more for their money. Next Star has risen to become one of the top three performing Sprint Preferred Retailers in the nation.
Next Star is recognized for its community involvement, values, and leadership.
Next Star, a Gwinnett-based company, began its humble beginnings in Snellville in June, 2000. The family-operated business includes Bobby Moeck, CEO; wife, Sara Moeck, Marketing Manager; sons, Mathew Moeck, V.P. Business Development; Michael Moeck, Manager, Snellville Sprint store; daughters, Melanie Altom, Human Resources; Amanda Moeck, Planograms and accessories; and Dustin Altom, Service Repair Centers.
Bobby Moeck, a graduate of Texas Tech, is actively involved in the Gwinnett community. He has been a lay track coach for twenty-two years and is a “Hall of Fame” recipient at Brookwood High School. He serves on the University of Georgia’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes council, is a graduate of Leadership Gwinnett, member of the Atlanta, Commerce, Dekalb, Greater Hall, Gwinnett Chambers of Commerce, and is a certified coach for John Maxwell Leadership Training.
“We are one of two indirect Sprint dealers in Georgia that are still operating sixteen years later,” added Sara Moeck. Next Star Communications employs 150 staff and has bi-lingual team members to assist with Spanish-speaking customers.

The Moeck’s are highly regarded, personally and professionally. “Bobby expects nothing short of excellence from his team and he holds his team to high standards. Bobby also openly displays his faith and is a principled man. Add to the mix that Bobby cares for his employees and provides them leadership training and you have necessary ingredients for an excellent business partner,” said Brian Miller, Sprint President of the Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee Region. “I feel fortunate to know Bobby and Sara. They display their faith and love of family and set a great example for their friends and colleagues.”
Dependability, trust, and reliability is key to their success. Next Star focuses on continuous customer satisfaction, maintains the highest ethical standards, values their clients, and remains up-to-date in their knowledge of technology. In February, 2016, Sprint was awarded in a tie by RootMetrics® as the #1 Most Reliable Network in Atlanta. In addition, Next Star Communications was nominated for the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce’s IMPACT Regional Busi-ness Award this year. “The IMPACT Regional Business Awards recognize premier organizations in top industries that are driving economic development and job creation, while enhancing quality of life in the community,” according to the Gwinnett Chamber.
