Memorial Day Two Thousand Seventeen Gwinnett Fallen Heroes Memorial

Lawrenceville, GA – May 30, 2017  Philadelphia Winn Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, was honored to serve on the hospitality committee at the Memorial Day 2017 Gwinnett Fallen Heroes Memorial.  The event was held at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

As the last bell rings for the 2016–17 school year, 562 veteran educators and support staff members will mark their retirement from Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS). In total, our 2016–17 retirees have contributed a collective 13,518 years of their lives to education, and a total of 10,701 years to Gwinnett schoolchildren.

DULUTH, GA – Forty community leaders graduated from the prestigious Leadership Gwinnett program in May. This group not only completed the nine-month program requirement, they also coordinated a campaign to donate nearly $10,000 to the Leadership Gwinnett Scholarship Fund.
