Local dentists join SUMC on mission to Nicaragua

Mission work can take many forms. Some trips focus on children, others on women, medical needs or housing. The list of needs in areas that differ from our own is potentially infinite. For the 20 members of the Snellville United Methodist Church’s recent trip to the remote mountains of Nicaragua, becoming a dental assistant occurred in short order.

Community involvement is crucial to every sport. The adage, see a need, fill a need, comes into play often when community leaders have a few moments of precious free time. For Don Britt of Summit Chase Country Club and Tim Gaines, Park Administrator at SGAA, the needs they see are nearly endless, but they work hard to provide avenues to fill those gaps.
