Third, Fourth and Fifth grade students from Ivy Preparatory Academy at Kirkwood gathered in the school cafeteria to discuss the importance of setting goals on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 during Professional Development Wednesday.

A Lawrenceville mother learned through her former role as a stay-at-home mom of two young daughters, there is truth in the adage, “necessity is the mother of invention.” Toyasha Vaughn was inspired to develop S.E.L.F., an empowerment program for girls ages 5-18 after experiencing a few challenges of her own.

DULUTH — The Southeastern Railway Museum will celebrate cabooses, the crews that called them home and their role on the railroad during April's Caboose Days.

The museum will host the family-friendly two-day event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, and Sunday, April 8, greatly expanding the event from previous years.

Lawrenceville – Gwinnett County will demolish its old Fire Station 15 at 275 South Perry Street in Lawrenceville and build a Bicentennial Plaza in its place. The project will also upgrade an existing walkway and trail along Constitution Boulevard to create the Bicentennial Trail, which will connect the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, the Bicentennial Plaza and the Lawrenceville Lawn.
