Duluth - Forty leaders have been selected to Leadership Gwinnett, Gwinnett’s award-winning community leadership program for business, civic, and community leaders. The class of 2019 will take a deep dive into the many sectors of Gwinnett – infrastructure, economics, education, health and human services, justice, and regional relations. These leaders are committed to give their time, talent and resources to strengthen their personal and professional connection to the community.

The organization, a public/private partnership, worked in collaboration with its Board of Directors and Rock Paper Scissors, a Lawrenceville-based branding and marketing firm, to bring the vision for these updates to life.

The honoree Beauty P. Baldwin

The women of the Upsilon Alpha Omega and Psi Tau Omega chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated parted with their pearls and pumps on May 19th to revitalize the playground at North Metro Academy of Performing Arts. More than 100 volunteers assisted in the efforts to enhance the playground.
