Petty Officer 2nd Class Amberia Simpson

PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii - A 2005 Shiloh High School graduate, 2009 Columbus State University graduate and 2017 Purdue University graduate with master degrees in public health education and native of Snellville, Georgia, is serving at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility as part of the largest mobilization of reservists in Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) history. The mobilization is tied directly to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Gwinnett County Public Library launches New Start Entrepreneurship Incubator to support citizens that have been in jail

Gwinnett County Public Library (GCPL) has launched and is now accepting applications for its New Start Entrepreneurship Incubator with the goal of providing options for employment and life success for community members who have previously served time in jail or prison. The initiative is funded by Google's Libraries Build Business Grant.
