For the City of Duluth, attracting forward thinking businesses like Madison Electric is what makes Duluth such a great place to do business.
“Attracting innovative companies like Madison Electric who are leaders in their industry and who engage the community is the continued vision of Duluth. We are excited they chose Gwinnett County and Duluth, GA as the home of their Southeast distribution center” said Mayor Pro Tem Greg Whitlock.
“From the very beginning of the initial contact back in July 2014, Madison Electric and their staff have been a pleasure to work with. They have quickly become a valued member of the Duluth and Gwinnett Community. We look forward to continued growth and prosperity for Madison Electric and its employees” said Duluth Economic Development Manager Chris McGahee.
The 55,000-square-foot warehouse, resulting in 10 to 12 new employees, will serve as the Southeast hub for Madison Electric Products and house more than 2,000 different products, according to a news release. As a result of the new location, the company anticipates faster turnaround on orders and improved customer service.
