Snellville Police Dept. hands out 2013 awards

SNELLVILLE – The Snellville Police Department recognized members of its force for actions taking place in 2013. Department members voted for 2013 SPD Officer of the Year, 2013 SPD Supervisor of the Year, 2013 SPD Civilian Employee of the Year, and 2013 Reserve Officer of the Year. On Jan. 1, the announcement was made that the following employees were selected by their peers:

 Miss Grayson 2014 will be Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Grayson High School theater.  All girls who live in the district, attend a Grayson Cluster school and has a parent who is a PTSA member are eligible to compete.  Age divisions will be based on number of participants for Pre K – 8th grade.  Crowns will be awarded for each high school year.  Grayson Mayor Allison Wilkerson and Carla Carraway are the new Directors for the Miss Grayson Pageant.

In everything they do, there is an effort, focus, energy, and character-building. For Jeremy Rutledge, life is no different. The Grayson High School senior is a member of his school swim and dive team as well as a diver for Atlanta Diving Association which practices at the GA Tech natatorium.
