2015 GA SPCA Masquerade Ball to help the animals

Dear Friends,

Thank you so much for your commitment to help homeless pets. Whether you are an adopter, a donor, a foster, or a volunteer, you’re making a huge impact on the lives of abandoned, neglected and abused pets in our community.

If you’ve opened your heart to a homeless animal, you know the unconditional love and devotion of a rescue that’s been given a second chance for a lifetime of love and companionship.

Many animals are waiting for someone just like you to love and cherish them.

Domino was picked up by animal control in Barrow County suffering from a severe injury to his right hind leg. We took him in and quickly sought medical care, but the damage was extensive and his leg had to be amputated. He’s recovering very well, and is receiving extra affection from his new best buddy, Toby, who loves to cuddle up next to Domino for cat naps.

Because you care, we can help pups like Dixie, who was found by the side of the road in Conley. She had been hit by a car, fracturing her pelvis and dislocating a hip. Despite her pain, Dixie was sweet and affectionate to her caregivers. Her surgery was successful, but she’ll need several weeks of physical therapy, her spay surgery, and treatment for heartworms before she’ll be ready for her forever home.

Help us help them

We are passionately committed to saving lives, and we strive to stretch your dollars as far as possible to help nearly 1,500 homeless animals that come through our shelter doors each year.

Thanks to you, we’re there for Domino, Toby, Dixie and hundreds of other special pets just like them. We won’t stop working until every adoptable animal finds a loving home.

We have a very special opportunity right now to double the impact of your giving.

Thanks to a $21,000 matching contribution from our Board of Directors, your gift will go twice as far.

Your gift today will be matched dollar-for-dollar to provide food, shelter and medical care for the dear cats and dogs awaiting their forever homes in our shelter. Your gift will be doubled to provide more low-cost spay/neuter procedures to reduce the number of unwanted pets. Your contribution will go twice as far to educate children about the importance of humane, compassionate care of animals.

Won’t you help a homeless pet know the joy of a loving home?

Please make a gift today, and double your impact.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Jane Lumbatis
Executive Director
