(Jefferson, Ga.) —Jackson Electric Membership Corporation (EMC) is currently accepting applications for the Walter Harrison Scholarship, a program sponsored by Georgia’s 41 electric cooperatives. The scholarship fund will provide $1,000 scholarships to local students who plan to pursue a post-secondary education in Georgia.

Major Transportation Project Slated to Begin in Downtown Duluth

Duluth, Georgia – A 3.5 million dollar transportation project is slated to begin in Duluth on January 19, 2015. This project will be three phases, beginning with Main Street Parking (phase I and II) and ending with the SR120 Realignment, Sidewalks and Gateway Improvements (phase III).

On December 9th, the Lawrenceville Lions Club and the Loganville Legacy Lions Club partnered to make a 15 month old child with special needs, have a much happier Christmas by providing him with an iPad Mini to help him in developing language, fine motor and gross motor skills.
