Congratulations new Eagle Scout Chad Baker

Jerry Chadwick “Chad” Baker, III, son of Jerry and Charity Baker of Covington Georgia, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout on September 24, 2016.  Chad, a senior at Walnut Grove High School, worked with the Monastery of the Visitation in Snellville Georgia for his Eagle Award project.

NSDAR celebrates Constitution Week

There are two documents of paramount importance to American history: the Declaration of Independence, which forged our national identity, and the United States Constitution, which set forth the framework for the federal government that is still in use today.  This year, the annual celebration began September 17, 2016.

How many of you have heard the phrase “Millennials can’t communicate”? Whether you are a Baby-Boomer cringing when you see two young people out for dinner but they’re glued to their phones or you’re a Millennial reading this as you’re scrolling through Facebook; there is something to the concept that Millennials have issues communicating; to a degree.

The Snellville Lions Club brought smiles to the 3rd Graders at W.C. Britt Elementary School.  Through a program called The Dictionary Project, the Snellville Lions donated a Webster Student dictionary to every student in the 3rd grade classes at W.C. Britt.
