May is our month of ceremonies. It marks the close of school, end of spring sports seasons, prom and graduations. It is also the month of one of our favorite events, The Gwinnett County Sports Hall of Fame.
This month I’m taking on something new and exciting! As most of you know, I am Miss Gwinnett County’s Outstanding Teen. As Miss Gwinnett’s title holder, I am going down to Columbus, GA this month to compete for Miss Georgia’s Outstanding Teen.

The 53rd Georgia Author of the Year Awards (books published in 2016) was held on June 3, 2017. Local authors Carole Townsend and Katie Hart Smith were recognized for their talent and craft.
A few years ago some friends invited our family to go to Six Flags with them for the day. They had VIP passes, and said that all of our expenses would be covered. So, our family piled into our swagger wagon (a.k.a. minivan), and we followed their family to Six Flags.
