City of Norcross to Host Clean-Up Day on September 23

One-day event to include electronics recycling, document shredding and collection of non-hazardous items

Norcross  – With the falling of leaves as autumn nears, in addition to raking, it is also a good time to clean and purge items in our homes and neighborhoods. To help keep Norcross ‘clean and beautiful,’ the City of Norcross is pleased to host a Neighborhood Clean-up & Recycling Day on Saturday, September 23th where residents can bring in documents to be securely shredded, haul in non-hazardous bulk items and recycle electronics.

Strong voice for sneaky illness

Karen Thieken is a busy, 40-some-thing wife and mom. She’s an entrepreneur, crazy about her family and excited about her business. Pushing her glasses up on top of her head and crossing her arms, she shakes her head as she ponders a miracle, the one that allows her to get up every morning and keep being a wife, mom and business owner.
