When your heart skips a beat, flutters or races away it could be the beginning of a serious rhythm called atrial fibrillation (Afib for short). Sometimes patients have no symptoms at all and are surprised when an EKG is done and shows Afib.
In this day and time we are confronted with demanding jobs, meeting family needs, caring for elderly parents, not to mention air pollution, processed foods…the list goes on. We in the United States celebrated Veterans Day last week. From coast to coast, we enjoyed parades, tributes, the laying of wreaths, and at the Vietnam Veterans War Memorial. Nearly 60,000 names of veterans killed in that war were read, day and night, for four days.
