Georgia Power customers to receive $1.2 billion in benefits from the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act

$330 million in new bill credits for customers for 2018 and 2019 under new tax laws; $188 million in Vogtle bill credits scheduled for 2018; $43.6 million refund in progress following high company performance in 2016
 
ATLANTA  – Georgia Power has completed an assessment of the impact of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act for the company – including approximately $1.2 billion in benefits for customers.

Improvements to Jones Bridge Park were celebrated March 6, 2018, with a ribbon cutting. Improvements include a new pavilion and new bathroom facilities. The project was paid for with SPLOST revenue.

Parks and Recreation celebrates Jones Bridge Park renovations

Lawrenceville – Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation celebrated the completion of renovations to Jones Bridge Park with a ribbon cutting on Tuesday. The renovations included a new 840-square-foot restroom building and 860-square-foot pavilion near the playground.

Georgia Connections Academy opens enrollment for 2018-19 school year

Georgia Connections Academy (GACA), a tuition-free virtual public charter school, has opened enrollment for the 2018-19 academic year. Serving students statewide in grades 6-12, the virtual school provides a flexible school option for families interested in an individualized approach to education.
