New Coding School Opening in Peachtree Corners

Georgia Tech partners with Prototype Prime to offer coding classes.

PEACHTREE CORNERS – In a special event that drew Georgia Tech’s president along with numerous alumni, several “pioneers” of Technology Park and other dignitaries, Mayor Mike Mason announced Thursday that Prototype Prime would partner with Georgia Tech in offering a new coding school at Prototype Prime’s campus in Peachtree Corners. The event was held at Prototype Prime, the city-funded startup incubator located in Technology Park Atlanta.

Third 2018 Gwinnett County Health Fair adds Back-to-School Bash and School Supply Drive to line-up

The third installment of Gwinnett County Community Health Fairs will host a Back-to-School Bash and health fair with inside and outside fun on Saturday, August 18 at Bogan Park (located at 2723 N. Bogan Rd.) in Buford, Georgia from 10am-2pm to help you and your family get ready to go back to school. This is a free event.

The Norcross Historic Trolley Tour departs from The Crossing parking lot Saturday, August 18 at 11:00 a.m. for its maiden voyage!

$1,000 DNR Grant available for Top Conservation Teacher

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is offering a $1,000 grant to a third-, fourth- or fifth-grade public or private school teacher in the state who demonstrates exceptional energy and innovation in teaching life sciences. Science specialists covering those grade levels also may apply.
