The Comedic Historian – Mary Frazier Long

If Jerry Clower, American stand-up Comedian, could be nicknamed “The Mouth of Mississippi” then Mary Frazier Long can be known as “The Comedic Historian!” Most Comics will tell you that it’s difficult to make people laugh — but to get folks laughing and teach history! Mary can be described as a mixture of, Larry the Cable Guy, Lily Tomlin, Ron White, Carol Burnette just to name a few.

Gateway Monument coming to Lilburn

Motorists traveling along Highway 29 will soon have a new gateway monument welcoming them to the City of Lilburn. Construction began last week on a twenty-five foot tall gateway monument being installed at the corner of Pleasant Hill Road and Highway 29.

Casino night to benefit Gwinnett Animal Welfare

A black-tie optional event to benefit Gwinnett Animal Welfare featuring casino type games will be held at George Pierce Park Community Recreation Center on Feb. 22 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The event is in partnership with Suwanee Animal Hospital.
