In the early ’90s a Christian pop-rock band was formed known as The Waiting, founded by local brothers Brad and Todd Olsen. Todd, who grew up in and lives in Lilburn, made arrangements for one of the band’s first gigs to be at Lilburn Daze, the annual Arts and Crafts Festival held in Lilburn City Park.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Georgia Chapter (LLS) received several national awards at the Annual LLS Enterprise Conference in July. Representatives from the Georgia Chapter traveled to Orlando, Florida for the Conference to accept the honors.
On August 22, Gwinnett Medical Center hosted a breakfast discussion about overcoming joint pain led by board-certified orthopedic surgeons Dr. Mary Jo Albert, Dr. Rashmi Kulkarni, and Dr. Robert Wood.
