Family-Friendly Activities around the Downtown Square on October 28th
LAWRENCEVILLE - With Halloween quickly approaching, the City of Lawrenceville invites the local community and visitors to its inaugural “Spooktacular on the Square” event, Friday October 28, from 6-8 p.m. The City welcomes guests of all ages who dare to walk the square to enjoy and evening of Halloween fun in Downtown Lawrenceville.
“We prioritize hosting events in Lawrenceville that can serve as an opportunity for local families to come out and enjoy their entire community,” said Mayor Judy Jordan Johnson. “Family-friendly Spooktacular on the Square will feature trick-or-treating and fun costumes as well as Lawrenceville’s Historic Ghost Tours hosted by the Aurora Theatre.”
Guests who are interested in experiencing Lawrenceville’s Historic Ghost Tours while learning about the City’s rich history and strong culture can register for the tour at www.ScaryStroll.com. Available through the Aurora Theatre, Lawrenceville’s Historic Ghost Tours feature tales based on local legends handed down over the decades and recent paranormal findings. Spooktacular guests are encouraged to register today for one of the popular 90-minute tours of some of Lawrenceville’s most haunted locations and the stories behind its most bizarre events – each narrated with the charm of an authentic Southern storyteller.
City officials ensure that visitors will receive complete the Halloween experience in the Downtown area as local businesses participating in the Spooktacular festivities will be sporting costumes, handing out Halloween treats, and offering special Halloween deals.
From one celebration to another, following the Halloween amusement, the City of Lawrenceville will host a Hometown Christmas Parade on Friday, December 2nd, at 7 pm. The parade will feature an appearance by the Budweiser Clydesdales, as well as Santa Clause, who will both be available for photo opportunities.
