Winfred and Patricia were married on August 25th, 1950, by and at the residence of Justice of the Peace, Ralph Hutchins. The reception was held at the groom’s parents’ home, attended by both families and many friends. Cake and drinks were served along with heavy rains and the hot heat of a dog day afternoon.
The couple honeymooned on Dogwood Road.
They are graced with three daughters and sons-in-law, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Winfred served in the U.S. Army and retired after a 40-year career with the Atlanta-Zoo-Parks and Recreation Department.
Patricia remains a homemaker and still carries on her passion for quilt making.
They grew up, married, and still reside in the Five Forks community. The community has been blessed with their many vegetable gardens and beautiful flowers.
