SNELLVILLE – Three new quality of life officers will hit city streets to make sure residents maintain their property and are not in violation of city codes.
The trio serve as reserve officers for the Snellville Police Department and will work part-time with the city’s Planning Department which oversees quality of life control.
“They get to help with code enforcement and there will be a couple more squad cars on the street,” said interim Planning Department Director Jason Thompson.
The employees - Laura Shook, Johnny Greene and James McClure - received training Thursday morning and will begin work within a week, Thompson said.
