Touches Stone. WAA Special Photo In January 2022, the Wreaths Across America Mobile Education Exhibit (MEE) left Maine and began its national cross-country tour in Florida. Since that time, the MEE has traveled to many states to honor and welcome home our nation’s veterans. In November, the MEE will suspend its present plans, head to Georgia, and join Delta, its employees, and the general public in celebrating our nations veterans.

Delta will Celebrate Veterans day by bringing in military-style aircraft and displays. Open to the public with multiple ceremonies to accommodate 3 shifts of personnel. Wreaths Across America’s mobile Education Exhibit will be there, manned, and open for the entirety of the 24-hour event.

“Wreaths Across America is so grateful that Delta has made us a part of their veterans celebration,” said Trish Gartner, Manager, Mobile Education Exhibit, “Delta has been a strong supporter of the Wreaths Across America mission to Remember, Honor, and Teach. This simple but most important mission helps future generations understand ‘the freedoms that we enjoy are not free’.”

This free event will take place at 1775 M H Jackson Service Rd (Gate one), Atlanta, GA.

“The goal of the Wreaths Across America Mobile Education Exhibit is to bring communities together and teach about the organization’s mission while remembering the service and sacrifice of our nation’s heroes,” said Trish Gartner, Manager, Mobile Education Exhibit. “This exhibit serves as a mobile museum, educating visitors about the service and sacrifice of our nation’s heroes as well as to serve as an official ‘welcome home’ station for our nation’s Vietnam Veterans. We are always overwhelmed with the outpouring of support from communities and honored to be joining Delta as they remember and honor those that have sacrificed so much for us.”

As part of the organization’s partnership with the United States of America Vietnam War Veterans Commemoration, the MEE officially welcomed home over 3,300 Vietnam veterans with a pinning ceremony that includes a signed proclamation from the President of the United States. There are almost three million Vietnam veterans across the United States that have yet to be officially welcomed home.

When the MEE pulls into your area, all veterans, active-duty military, their families, and the local community members are invited and encouraged to visit, take a tour, and speak with WAA Ambassadors and volunteers. The public tour stops for the MEE are free and open to the public.

However, it’s really a year-long mission to Remember our veteran’s sacrifices, Honor those who serve, and Teach the next generation the value of freedom. As part of this mission, the Wreaths Across America Mobile Education Exhibit visits communities to ‘welcome home’ Vietnam Veterans and their families and offer FREE interactive exhibits, short films, and shared stories about our nation’s heroes to everyone.
