Snellville looking for ghost story scribes

Snellville looking for ghost story scribes

Snellville – If you can tell a hair-raising ghost story then the city has a contest for you.

Starting June 30, the Snellville Arts Commission is accepting submissions for the Snellville Ghost Tours Ghost Writing Contest.

Contestants are being asked to tell the “history and death” of a fictional Snellville ghost. All stories must feature a fictional ghost from the city and be no longer than 500 words. It should read as a biographical sketch and answer the basic questions of: Who the ghost is; how does the ghost haunt?; when did the ghost live?; where and how did the ghost die?; and why the ghost is important to Snellville.

Ghost stories cannot be based on a real person – dead or alive – nor may it contain the names of real people.

Winning entries will be published in the Snellville Scene city newsletter and your ghost will “come to life” during the inaugural Snellville Ghost Tour in October.

Submissions will not be accepted after July 30.

For contest rules, a submission form and more information visit http://www.snellvillearts.com.
