Gwinnett Ballet Theatre holds special Open House on Sunday, January 11th

Many young people attended Gwinnett Ballet Theatre’s production of “The Nutcracker” this past holiday season. How many of these children would love to be on that stage next year as a part of this exciting and well-loved ballet?

Here's how

They can! Gwinnett Ballet Theatre is looking for new young dancers to teach. On Sunday, January 11th from 2:00 – 4:00 pm they will invite everyone to come to their studios for a special Open House.

Visitors can tour the GBT facility which includes 5 large, state-of-the-art studios. They can meet the GBT staff and enjoy some refreshments.

Best of all, they can watch a group of GBT’s young dancers perform in two mini-performances held at 2:30 and 3:30. The performance will include variations that will be performed at the Youth America Grand Prix competition later this month, plus some favorites from Nutcracker.  Aspiring young visitors can talk to the ballerinas and admire their costumes!

Any child who is registered by January 30th can still be eligible for the May Recital held at the Gwinnett Performing Arts Center. And, maybe, also be in “The Nutcracker” next year!

Call 770-237-0046 for more information, or simply come to the Open House any time from 2:00-4:00 pm on January 11th. There is no charge for the event.

GBT’s studios are conveniently located at 1800 Macleod Drive in Lawrenceville. They are one block west of Highway 316, and just across Sugarloaf from Gwinnett Tech. Visit the web site at www.gwinnettballet.org.
