If you’re a business owner or entrepreneur, you may be looking for opportunities to learn, network and grow your business this year. Heart of Gwinnett proudly offers up many ways to do just that, all in a fun, inviting atmosphere.
An open business networking community with no fees, our members understand that coming together creates greater learning and business development opportunities than could ever be possible staying under the radar. We share a passion for entrepreneurship and business culture. In getting to know each other, we constantly keep one another in mind when new opportunities present themselves.

Thank you to Five Star Graphics, Knoxville, TN for donating t-shirts. Special Thank You to choicestoyou.com – Gwinnett and Twisted Taco Suwanee for lunch for some very hungry volunteers.
Our members share a commitment to stepping up into a leadership role and collectively giving back to the community. From a diversity of ages, backgrounds and industries, we rally together to support a deserving organization each year. Our charity of choice this year is Gwinnett Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit organization that advocates that every person should have a decent, safe affordable place to live.
On Thursday, May 28, over 20 volunteers rolled up their sleeves and joined us at our Habitat for Humanity Work Day. Business members of the community gave their time and their muscle power to help ensure that hard working members of our community can find affordable housing. The Heart of Gwinnett team is grateful to our food sponsors – Twisted Taco Restaurant and Cantina in Suwanee, Georgia and ChoicesToYou.com – who generously kept our volunteers well fed and hydrated while they worked. We’d also like to thank Five Star Graphics in Knoxville, Tennessee, who donated eye-catching Heart of Gwinnett/Habitat for Humanity t-shirts that helped us look like the cohesive team we are. With sweat and hard work, our volunteers and sponsors perfectly captured Heart of Gwinnett’s giving spirit.
Another success we’d like to celebrate is the Business After Hours event that we hosted with the Dacula Business Association at Del Rio in Dacula, GA. Our members and newcomers came out to network over delicious Mexican food in a warm and welcoming, high-spirited environment while collecting food for the Nothing But The Truth Ministry. We appreciated all the new faces who came out to join us.
If you’re a business owner and entrepreneur, Heart of Gwinnett has lots more in store this summer that you can participate in, benefit from and – most of all – enjoy! One of the most exciting programs we run is our second annual Summer Speaker Series, which I have the pleasure and responsibility of organizing this year. In June, July and August, all are welcome and encouraged to come out to hear engaging speakers share insights about business hot topics.
The inspiring, educational series will kick off at 6 p.m. on June 9th at the Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry. Out first featured speaker will be Nancy Attrill, a natural health educator and founder of Advantage Life Balance. Nancy will join us from her hometown in London, Ontario, to share her expertise on the benefits of sleep on your general health and professional life. Refreshments have graciously been sponsored by Grayson Coffee House. At the speaking engagement, we will be collecting food for the Ministry’s members in need. Nancy will also be sponsoring a workshop on June 11 from 9am-11am and 5:30-7:30pm.

On July 14th, our Summer Speaker Series will be held at 6 p.m. at About Face in Snellville, GA. The event will feature author and forgiveness expert Di Riseborough from London, ON, who will be speaking about the twelve faces of fear. Refreshments have kindly been provided by Cibaria Market in Snellville.
Last but not least on the roster, our August 11 Summer Speaker Series engagement will be hosted at the Summit Chase Country Club, with refreshments generously sponsored by Will’s Chicago Style Hot Dogs. Our final speakers will be Alice VanderVeen, home staging expert and founder of Home Staging Avenue, as well as Shaundra Welch, decluttering pro and founder of Clutter Angel. We’re excited to hear the savvy strategies they have to share with us. For more information on our speaker series, please email contact@heartofgwinnett.com
At each speaking engagement, $50 sponsor tables will be set up for those who’d like to showcase their local business. We encourage you to consider investing in a table; it’s a wonderful way to make your face a familiar one in the community.
For all you golf aficionados out there, Heart of Gwinnett would also like to invite you out to greens for our 2nd annual Par For The Cause Golf Tournament at Summit Case Country Club on August 31 to benefit Habitat for Humanity. Our group’s motto is “Bringing Community Together” and that’s what we’ll be doing, so bring your clubs and come out swinging!
The Heart of Gwinnett community continues to grow, and we’d like to extend a heart-felt invitation to you, grow with us. If you would like to learn more about our upcoming events or are interested in volunteering or sponsorship opportunities, email contact@heartofgwinnett.com
