O’Charley’s in Lawrenceville Honors Air Force Veteran as Part of Reopening Celebration
Leo Rissanen named Hometown Hero by O’Charley’s

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga — As part of the restaurant’s reopening celebration, O’Charley’s Restaurant + Bar on Lawrenceville-Suwanee in Lawrenceville recognized local veteran Leo Rissanen as a Hometown Hero.

Rissanen served in the U.S. Air Force from 1948 to 1953. During his military career he spent most of his time stationed at O’Hare Air Reserve Station in Chicago specializing in photography. After leaving the Air Force he joined Hardware Specialty, Inc. and went on to open the first branch office of Hardware Specialty in Norcross before becoming the owner of Duluth Fasteners. 

2015061595184240440O’Charley’s is honoring Hometown Heroes at 30 remodeled restaurant locations this year in conjunction with the company’s revitalization and reimaging plan. O’Charley’s has a longstanding history of honoring veterans and active duty soldiers. More than 100 individuals have been honored during the Hometown Hero program.
